Atorvastatin is an oral Anti-hyperlipoproteinemia drug. It is under the classification of HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitors (Statins).

Uses / Indications:

Atorvastatin is used to prevent cardiovascular diseases in those at high-risk and to treat abnormal lipid levels. These statins are the first-line treatment for the prevention of cardiovascular disease. This drug is recommended to be used with a proper diet and exercise regularly, possibly with other medications.
