Description:

Calcium deficiency occurs when the blood has low levels of calcium. There are various reasons which may cause calcium deficiency in the body when the parathyroid hormone is not regulated properly.

Calcium carbonate and Vitamin D3 are called calcium salt, this is a dietary & mineral supplement. Calcium carbonate comes under the classification of ‘Calcium preparations & Vitamin D preparations’.

Uses / Indications:

This drug is used to prevent Calcium and Vitamin D deficiency, especially in the elderly, and is used to treat osteoporosis in combination with other drugs. This drug can be used to treat heartburn, indigestion and upset stomach. This drug is recommended to be used with a proper diet and exercise regularly, possibly with other medications.

Interactions / Warnings:

Passing out or troubled breathing may occur on an overdose of this medication.
