Metoprolol Succinate is an oral Antihypertensive drug. It is under the class of Beta-Blockers and under the sub-category of Beta-1 selective agent.

This drug works by relaxing the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily, hence helping in lowering the blood pressure.

Uses / Indications:

Metoprolol Succinate is mainly used to treat high blood pressure. It is also used to treat heart failure and chest pain. This drug is recommended to be used with a proper diet and exercise regularly, possibly with other medications.
